|
At midday in the quiet rural town of Berkeley, Australia, a large number of small meteorites strike people in their cars, in their homes, and outside. If a person is hit by a meteorite the person is infected by something that turns him or her into a flesh eating monster that is next to impossible to kill. This dreadful infectious disease spreads very rapidly in Berkeley and soon there are an enormous number of carnivorous zombies in the area searching for something to eat. Initially Undead begins with a premise that has been widely used by film makers that has made zombie movies, but the Spierig brothers use that as a tool to push forward their cinematic vision. This vision is full of gory, yet hilarious over the top, killings of zombies and people, which is spun together with horror, comedy, and action that allow for a decent cinematic experience. |
